Raspberry Falls HOA Earlier we asked you all to please fill out a comment card showing support for the NVTA Route 15 submission to get funding to fix Route 15 in terms of congestion and safety. Here’s the link:

If you filled out your comments already, thank you. But, guess what? There is a movement underway by the Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC), the Catoctin Coalition and other groups to stop this project. They showed up en masse to the May 10th NVTA board meeting and have a campaign ongoing to get folks to comment that their is a better way to solve this problem other than widening and that we need to preserve our rural countryside. Despite the fact that all the facts point to widening as the only solution. PEC is an enormous lobby. They have reached out to their entire base across the entire state of Virginia, asking them to leave comments in opposition of this project.
ACTION REQUIRED!!! The comment period closes Sunday night at Midnight! If you haven’t already, please fill out a comment card online showing your support for this project! Without this funding, there will be no relief any time soon for the congestion relief and safety issues along Rte 15.
If you see this message, tell your neighbor. Especially if you know they are not on Facebook or forward this email.
Our message should be the simple and same 2 themes as always: 1) Save Lives: In it’s current state, we have too many head on collisions, and the road isn’t wide enough for emergency vehicles to get through when an accident occurs. 2) Improve our Lives: This traffic is crazy. Increasing capacity is the only solution. Listen to the engineers, and follow their recommended course of action.
Thanks!
