Raspberry Falls HOA Homeowners and Residents,
Happy November!
By now, you should have received meeting materials via the US Postal Service for the annual HOA meeting scheduled for Tuesday, November 13, at 7 pm at the Homewood Suites in Leesburg (115 Fort Evans Road, North East).
There are two open seats for the board of directors for the Raspberry Falls HOA. Both of the incumbents, Russ Laraway & Chrissie Goodrum (listed on the current proxy) have each served on the HOA board for three years – and their terms are officially *COMPLETE*. Although they may both serve again, additional volunteers are WELCOME & invited to step up!!!
If you would like to be considered to serve on the HOA board beginning in 2019:
– Please review the call for candidates notice (attached) and contact our management company representative, Brian Cramp (Cardinal Management), at 703.565.5304 or via email at b.cramp@cardinalmanagementgroup.com to get your name on the meeting agenda.
– Ask your neighbors/friends to sign a proxy with your information (as the association needs to make quorum in order to officially hold the election).
– Alternatively, submit your name “from the floor” during the actual HOA annual meeting to be considered as a candidate for the HOA Board & be prepared to speak about your qualifications/reason(s) why you would like to serve.
For more information about the association, please go to the HOA’s website, www.raspberryfalls.org [1], to check out prior HOA board meeting minutes and financial statements.
Note – if you aren’t available to serve on the HOA board, but would still like to volunteer your time for the neighborhood, the HOA does have a few committees that need volunteers: including (but not limited to) the Social Committee, Communications Committee, Architectural Covenants Committee and Landscaping Committee. Our neighborhood needs dedicated/enthusiastic people to enhance our community!
– Daylight savings time change is this SUNDAY (11/4) – so set your clocks back ONE HOUR
o In addition to changing your clocks this weekend, consider CHECKING YOUR SMOKE DETECTOR batteries, WINTERIZING your outdoor water spouts, and CHANGING YOUR A/C filters
o Because the days are getting shorter, be careful on the roads – if you are a pedestrian/runner/dog walker – you may want to consider getting reflective materials before you go outside so cars can see you. If you are a driver, PLEASE BE MINFUL of the pedestrians and all stop signs. There have been a number of homeowners who have recently voiced concerns about drivers passing buses in the mornings. PLEASE OBEY THE RULES OF THE ROAD!!!! Our children are more important than the time you think you are saving to make it to the light!!!
– The mid-term elections voting spot for our neighborhood is the Lucketts Community Center. If you haven’t submitted an absentee ballot, GO VOTE this TUESDAY (11/6). Polls open at 6 am!
