The Loudoun Education Foundation is hosting a special reception honoring Ted Leonsis, owner of the Washington Capitals and Washington Wizards, on the release of his new book, The Business of Happiness: 6 Secrets to Extraordinary Success in Life and Work. The event is set for Monday August 9, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 1757 Golf Club. Register by August 2, to receive a copy of the book, an opportunity to attend a private reception, take a photograph with Mr. Leonsis and get special recognition in the event program. This reception will raise money for the Loudoun Education Foundation (LEF), which provides resources to foster and promote programs that enhance the educational experience in Loudoun County Public Schools. KidzArt Summer Camps give kids a creative outlet to work with a variety of artistic mediums and styles. Elementary students can register for camp on our website, www.kidzartva.com. These camps are being held at the Douglass Community Center in Leesburg, the Claude Moore Community Center in Sterling, the Loudoun Valley Community Center in Purcellville and The Wingler House in Ashburn. Cost is $195 + $25 supply fee for the week. Middle School Camp is Aug. 10-12 at The Wingler House and the Douglass Community Center. Cost is $117 + $25 supply fee for the 3 days.
