Snow Season is Upon Us

| with Comments (0)
We have seen our first hint of snow flakes and we’d like to take this opportunity to remind residents who is responsible for which streets within the community.  Some streets are still maintained by the developer, while the association maintains some, and some have been turned over to VDOT for the county to maintain.
The Association will provide maintenance for the first two eyebrows (Gooseberry Lane and Cranberry Lane), as well as the mountain road (Fox Creek Lane).

Van Metre will provide maintenance for the eyebrow at Fieldmaster Lane, Hunter Place, Levade Drive, and for Raspberry Drive west of Limestone Court.

VDOT will be providing maintenance for Raspberry Drive from route 15 to Limestone Court, Elk Run Court, Ferriers Court, Swiftwater Lane, Putters Green Court, and Limestone Court.

Raspberry Falls HOA and Van Metre homes have contracted with Earthwright Landscaping to handle snow services for the 2008-2009 snow season.  If you have concerns regarding the treatment of the roadways that are being maintained by the association or Van Metre, please contract Armstrong Management at 703-385-1133 and follow the prompts on the message recording.  Armstrong will be in contact with the contractor and with Van Metre during winter weather events.

The majority of the streets are now VDOT maintained.  Their maintenance policy may be different than the maintenance standards for the association.  You may not receive the response time and frequency of years past.  If any problems arise on these roads, please contact VDOT directly at (703) 383-VDOT (8368).

Please review the attached color coded map that shows which roads are VDOT maintained, Van Metre maintained, and HOA maintained if you have any questions as to the maintenance responsibility of the roadways.
